What to expect at your SMPU appointment.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be welcome by myself. I will apply numbing cream to the treatment area. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes for the area to become numb. During this part of the procedure, you will be asked to fill in medical and consent forms and we will begin your consultation.
We will discuss the colour and shape you would like and this is a good time to show any pictures of eyebrows or lips that you may have brought with you. We will advise and suggest a shape that suits you as an individual.
The numbing cream will then be removed, and the treatment area will be cleaned and disinfected. We will take a before picture at this point.
During the procedure.
- We will map the outline of your new eyebrows or lips and once you have agreed on the shape, we will start the procedure.
- Throughout the treatment we may add additional numbing cream to minimise any discomfort.
- The whole treatment will take approximately 2 hours from start to finish, depending on the sensitivity of your skin and pigment retention.
- At 6 weeks we will recommend a top up visit.
After the procedure we will discuss aftercare and the after photos will be taken. I will be available to offer support during the healing process and answer any questions you may have.
